I suppose you could say I'm a 27 year-old walking contradiction. I like things at both ends of the spectrum, which, I guess, puts me right in the middle. I have a job that I love where I get to use science and math and there's no room for "creativity". But I admire art and creativity in just about any form. I love going to theatres, concerts, operas, ballets, museums, galleries, you name it. I tend to get rather dirty at work, but anybody who knows me would be the first to tell you I'm the biggest girlie-girl they know. And I admit, outside of my job, if I get dissheveled in anyway, I tend to get annoyed very quickly. Funny how it doesn't bother me when I'm on the clock. I also adore shopping. It's become my sport, with my biggest weakness being shoes. I adore fashion, follow the red carpet fashion police (though I'm not as interested in the gossip), and subscribe to Lucky magazine. That said, I also despise most of the culture surrounding all of that stuff. I love night clubs but hate drinking. Parties aren't my scene, but I love social events. And, as musch as I love romance (especially in the form of chick flicks), I'll be the first one to tell you that it doesn't exist. Confused yet? Good. So am I.

Music is a big part of my life. I'm almost always listening to my iPod, CDs, or the radio from the time my alarm rings till I go to bed. I listen to it all except acid jazz and bluegrass. Everything else happily coexists on my iPod. Some favorites are Bon Jovi (hey, Jersey girl, after all), U2, David Bowie, The Killers, Andrea Bocelli, The Mamas & The Papas, Franz Ferdinand, Maroon 5, Stevie Ray Vaughan, and The Beatles.
I could go on, but then I wouldn't be able to stop myself.

Movies are another interest for me. I tend to watch chick flicks and classics more than anything else, but I love a good action movie or thriller too. I've got about 250 DVDs to my name. I'd usually rather watch a movie than TV. As with music, it's hard to name favorites. But, my top ten in no particular order: "Grease", "Labyrinth", "Breakfast At Tiffany's", "Pirates of the Caribbean" trilogy, "An Affair to Remember", "Casablanca", "Now, Voyager", "Singing In The Rain", "The Princess Bride", and "Philadelphia Story". Audrey Hepburn is my favorite actress of all time, Cary Grant is my favorite actor of all time. For modern times, I like Ann Hathaway and Hugh Jackman.
